Searching for one Patrick Carroll born about 1828 in Ireland

Question

Patrick was born in Ireland abt. 1828 as a Roman Catholic. Around 1855 he immigrated to the US and farmed in Macon County, Illinois. He married Bridgett Butler in 1861 and they raised nine children. In 1885 after a family breakup he returned to Ireland and passed in a Queenstown Hospital on June 23, 1885. I am hoping to find his birthplace and relatives in Ireland.
