Why is my GR Grandmother showing up in a search on Herritage from Wiki tree when I have her listed as private?

I have her tree listed as private on Wiki. I know it is my info because it is MY photo of her. And it clearly states the info on her is coming from Wiki.

Dawn you also you seem to have a profile for her on Find A Grave.

and much more for the wider public at Family Search such as a possible marriage "Kentucky Marriages, 1785-1979," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F434-TX7 : accessed 9 June 2016), A.P. Lambert and Theresa Hull, 17 Jan 1894; citing Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, reference ; FHL microfilm 818,952.

Whether or not you display the records on Wikitree, the records are already out there!

From the Photos FAQ:

Can anyone see photos?

Anyone can see the tiny thumbnail version of photos. This includes the thumbnails that appear in activity feeds.

If a profile is private only those on the Trusted List can see the full-size versions and the photo details. However, if anyone in the photo is public the photo will be public.

See Photo Privacy for more information.

The Private level still gives the Name, decade of birth, and thumbnail photo. What is shown can be checked if you click on "Profile (public view)"

I don't know, though having a ggrandmother as private is a bit strict.  And since you're also private I wouldn't have any idea how to search for her on Heritage. A guess might be that Heritage somehow knows you're on her trusted list and thereby let's you see things others wouldn't be able to see.  If you can check to see if that is or isn't the case we may see if it's a real problem or not.

Thank you Dave, I know maybe having my GGrandmother listed as private may be a little overboard, and I do want to connect with people that might be related to her or me, but I have run into a situation three times, where a person that is not related that I know of, copy or download my one or more of my family photos. Twice I have had it happen where they connected my tree to theirs.  Very nicely I asked them how do you think there is a connection?  Because I didn't see one and after no explanation I asked if they could please remove my family info and photos from their site.  I would like my information to be as accurate as possible for future generations.  I have no idea why anyone would do this, I am not a celebrity star, LOL I have given up.  And everyone knows there is nothing private when it comes to the internet.

I think I will change my privacy settings to public for my GGrandma because she is out there and I can't do anything about it now.  LOL
