Robert Heft, designer of 50-star flag, has two connections but is not connecting to the tree

I heard about Robert Heft, who designed our 50-star flag as part of a high school project, last week on Extreme Genes. Are you a listener? It's a great radio show and podcast. See www.extremegenes.com

I built him a tree and found two connected ancestors - one is a great-grandparent, and I've been watching his profile for three days now. Everyone has Open privacy. I wonder what's keeping him from getting the connection links at the bottom of his profile?

The only logical explanation is that the update hasn't run for at least 48 hours.

Another logical explanation is that there is a logic error in the update code. Did I mention that I'm a software tester? :)

Possible.  But I've just had a look and some profiles I created 2 days ago aren't yet showing as connected, eg Wentworth-1459 , although her son is connected.

Last update began about 2 am GMT Wednesday.  Camville-55 made the cut, but Langton-273 didn't.

Thanks, RJ! How are you finding the time of the update? Are you tracking the edit times of your profiles?

I looked for some creations in the pre-1500 feed.

From previous experience, connections made after 10pm Eastern don't score that night and have to wait for the next night.

Karen and Eowyn: This has now been fixed. I apologize for the delay.

As Connectors have made ever more connections, the server has had to work harder to rebuild the database. Late last week it crashed. We tried a bunch of different things but ultimately just had to add memory to the server.
