Abner Davis, born about 1789, married Sarah Howell, and had at least five sons, including my ancestor, David Sprague Davis (born 1823). Lived in Livingston County, New York, home of West Sparta, Springwater, and North Dansville. He died in Iowa in 1847, while visiting one of his sons. A probate estate was opened in November 1847 in New York; soon thereafter, Sarah also died. He was as an electic physician of some note. While I have a fair amount of information about Abner, I still cannot identify his parents or place/date of birth.
