What do we do about GEDcomms with incorrect information?

I'm at the end of week one waiting for 8 profile managers to get back to me. But as I've been reading some questions, and wandering through different information about how we are suppose to collaborate, etc. I see a problem coming. Somewhere I read that Ancestry.com info is not always correct or reliable. Most of the GEDcomms (think I'm spelling that right) are coming from Ancestry in my family tree and they are full of unproven, unsourced information (I've been going to the profiles and checking their resources and 98% of the time there isn't even one source). I'm guessing I'm not the only one that has run into this...How do we clean this up? I can't see the point to one profile to every person if some people are connected erroneous to families that don't belong to.
