Common Church affiliations in Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland early 19th Century

I am seeking specific common Church affiliations for the Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland area, circa 1800. I read, in Tracing Your Northern Irish Ancestors, that emigrating Presbyterians commonly first emigrated to Pennsylvania and then moved South or West, with many ending in Southern States, as my ancestor did. I am soon going to Ireland and being able to narrow his likely Church affiliation would make tracking information down on him much easier.

Hi William

My William Kincade's third wife was Eliza Gormley (Graham has been reported too) and they immigrated to Middlesex County, Ontario about 1840. They likely were from Donagheady Parish near the City of Londonderry on the County Derry border. My understanding was that Gormley was an old Irish line - in other words Catholic while my Kincaids were Scots and Presbyterian. Many Gormleys in the area now  - not so many Kincaids although they were numerous in the early 1800's. We visited last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was disappointed that we failed to make any significant contacts while we were there. We will go back and next time will have church and family history society contacts lined up before we go - even if we have to hire someone. PS Many dna contacts showing up to southern Scots-Irish - my line stayed North in MI and Canada. Good luck.
