Oh, you are right. My mistake. She said it was on her watchlist, which I thought was only if you were on the Trusted List. I didn't check it for myself. Perhaps the unresponsive manager will, eventually, be the way to go on this one.
We have lots and lots and lots and lots of profiles with restricted privacy as default settings from GedCom. They get uploaded and forgotten in many, many cases, but no one else can add on to them.
I have also noticed a change in site defaults lately. I entered several children born in the 1850s from a source with birth records but not death dates a couple days ago. And WikiTree, by default, with no options offered, saved them as restricted privacy. So now, after creating profiles, there is the additional step of opening the profile, clicking the privacy tab and resetting the privacy. If you want to add categories or projects, there's another couple screens via edit tab. If you forget the categories, that doesn't restrict anyone else. But if you slip up on changing the privacy, you are leaving an obstacle behind for others.
Sigh.
