Must have been a popular floor plan in Ohio - just like my childhood home, give or take!
I really enjoy looking at this marvelous photo, there are so much life in the photo with children and growing people.

What and amazing house , love the old children wagon in the front with a little child in.

Thanks for sharing this great photo
Thanks for the notice... when My Mother Alberta  and her brother John were small Charle's Daughter  Ruth Sophia, brought them to live at this home with  her husband Hugo. I found them recorded in the 1940 census together.
Thank you for Sharing the story. It is always nice when there is a story, that you know now, when you have this amazing photo.

Must say it is a lovely house your mother and her brother came to live in.

Did you ever visit this house? Does it still exists
i never knew about it when i was a kid and recently my aunt told me it had been taken down for some public building ... possibly parking =-(
More tha a few houses were picked out and built from plans in a Sears Roebuck catalog, and I  might add that the plans seemed more unique than some of our recent tract houses! I have a set of hours plan intended for building in Kansas City, easy to send time musing about what it must have been like growing up in them.
You know I was going to mention that about Sears.  How many folks even know that they had such plans and you could purchase them?? My Grand Mother Spencer who married a Plas  lived in a house that was definitely from Sears we even had the original drawings of the floor plan etc...
The Sears pictures I have are really attractive, porticos that are drive through, turret rooms, who knew?

How sad to remove a marvelous house like this for parking... It happen so often in the old time, after so many started getting a private car. so it is not possible to visit and se the house your family grow up in. How lucky you have this wonderful photo, as a memory.

You must treasure it

Thank you for share your story
