Hello:  Looking for information concerning James Christy, born ca. 1760 (in New Hampshire, I think) ; married ca. 1778 and died 1790 in New York.  He fought at the Battle of Saratoga.  His wife was Hannah.   His daughter Sarah Chrisrty, born in New Hampshire in 1779,  married Philip Burr Jackson Sr.  in 1803.  They lived in Shelby, Orleans, NY.  Thanks much for any help!  Michael Haines,   - email address removed -   June 4, 2013

I have a 2xg grandfather, Peter Christie, born on Wolfe Island Ont.(1802), he emigrated to NY about 1840. His father Peter (Rachel) died on Amherst Island Ont. I don't have much on them. I assume they may have been Loyalists since most of the residents of these Canadian Islands were loyalists that fled to Canada during the American Revolution
