Joseph Robert Ramsey Death Information, Buried Allred Cemetery, Overton County, TN.

Question

Joseph Robert Ramsey's Headstone states only his name, however in the 1900 census he had 3 children born between 1882 and 1893. Because of the 1890 census being destroyed was wondering what else could be done. I am not located close to the cemetery and cannot find where to write for the info. Did find out from another researcher he had 1892 but no source to reference and no Family Bible for this 2 great Grandfather is available. Also was told by this researcher that Joseph drowned in the Obey River.  Joseph was married to Nancy Ann Allred Ramsey the 25 July 1872 in Overton County, TN and their youngest child Robert Ramsey born 7 October 1892 died 8 August 1971 Jamestown, Fentress County and is buried at Falling Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Overton County TN. I thought about this and I thought I could help. I found the following information on: genealogyintimemagazine.com It is a free site so just put it in google.com. I found the following under "Ramsey Family Tree 3: " Memories told of Sanford Ramsey". When you go to this site, just put in Joseph Robert Ramsey in the Family tree search engine. It will give you more info about the Ramsey's.

William Jason Ramsey born April 12, 1838 Overton County, Tennessee and died July 21, 1903. Calfkiller, Bald Knob, White Co, Tennessee, Married Elizabeth C. French on April 26, 1857 Overton, Tennessee. Daughter of Martin French and Juda Bowman. Born March 9, 1838 in Overton, Tennessee and died April 1, 1932.

The obituary of his wife, (William Jason Ramsey) states that he was drowned in Calfkiller Creek, near Sparta about 1896 together with 2 small girls, one of whom was his granddaughter.

Nancy, I appreciate this information, however it is Joseph's older brother that married Elizabeth Collins French and is named William Jason Ramsey.  I reviewed the Ramsey Family Tree 3 and found they listed his death info as "unknown" However it did show his wife Nancy Ann Allred and her parents and their son (my great grandfather) Robert Ramsey born October 7, 1892; died August 8, 1971 and was married to Alice Louever Ledbetter on July 8, 1911 in Overton County, TN. This is why I am so certain the headstone is incorrect, that and Robert's delayed birth certificates has affidavits attached that Joseph is his father.
