AWESOME! (Disregard my post posted about two seconds before you elsewhere asking about the delay...)

And now, having read what you posted, I can see why it took awhile! ;-)

I had a really dynamite team. All 20 people participated. We had the #3 sourcer, Lance Martin. Myrtis Bishop, Star Kline, and Jerry Baraboo sourced over 200 profiles each. Another five team members sourced over 100 each.

Star Kline rocks as a cheerleader!

And the Forget-me-nots are the best.

THANK YOU TEAM!!

Wow, so happy for my team and Wikitree.  It was a great event - thanks to everyone who organised it and took part.
WOW WOW  Wikitree Peeps ROCK

Thanks for the update and all the work everyone put in.

Thanks to all of the Wikitreers that helped put on and/or participated in this terrific event.  I only managed to watch a couple of the live broadcasts (too busy sourcing!), but enjoyed seeing Julie, Eowyn and Mags!  Great job, ladies!  Kudos to Abby for all of her behind the scenes work.  What a great group of leaders -- well done!

You guys are amazing!  Good work.  Next time I will sure to participate

You guys did an amazing job organizing it all and keeping up with the numbers, etc. :)  I was wondering about the

"We are also planning a user template that you can put on your profile after the race is over to show your race number, number of sourced profiles, and final ranking."

Has this been created yet? I tried making my own and it wasn't working. LOL

Thanks for all you guys do! You're amazing. :)

It was really a super weekend, we all had soo much fun and it was great to meet, get to know and collaborate with all our wonderful members, so congrats to all and thanks for all participants and of course the WikiTree team for organizing this great event !! It really was the most inspiring party :)

Yay! It was great fun! The Carolina Cousins team was awesome! Good job, everybody!
Kelley it sure was we all had so much fun and a great time again, but.... these are the results and is the G2G from last year ;)
Aw man. I'm too bouncy for my own good!

WOW is right - those are some amazing stats!  (and in WikiTree colors, too!)

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a great success:

  • Chris for his great Source-a-Thon idea
  • Eowyn, Mags, and Julie for their tireless behind-the-scenes efforts to organize and track the Source-a-Thon, and to provide 37 hangouts that provided updates and entertainment to keep us going for 72 hours straight!
  • All the team leaders for organizing, tracking, helping, and cheering on the participants
  • The sponsors of the many door prizes
  • The bloggers who helped advertise the Source-a-Thon (who would have guessed we would get more than 600 participants?)
  • Everyone who posted comments on the G2G forum, chatted during the hangouts, and made guest appearances at the hangouts, which made this such a fun event
  • Every participant world-wide who made such an amazing total contribution to our one family tree in one weekend!

As George M. Cohan might have said, my mother thanks you, my father thanks you, all my ancestors thank you, and I thank you!

Wow! WOW! WOOWW!

Thank you to all the "staff", team leaders, WikiTree leaders, etc. who made this such a great event.  Forget-me-nots -- You were awesome!  GB Gen -- y'all rock!  And, our team leader -- Darlene Athey-Hill -- you were wonderful!

Another piece of great news coming out of this is about 40 Sourcerers signed up for October.  Every profile, every source, counts.

Well done Forget - Me -Nots. Will try to keep up with you next time :-)

To each and every one that did there best even those who did only one

Well done. I had fun and thank you also to the gigglers for staying up (or getting up at 5) and kept us going with there comments.

Three cheers to each and every one, you are all stars .

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE
I was lucky to be on the Southern Sourcerers team with Kathy, Gigi and Darlene (not so lucky for them since I didn't make those triple numbers like they did).  Girl Power!  ...maybe next time!  :)

The Southern Sourcerers had THREE PEOPLE in the TOP TEN!!  Additionally, I'd like to give a shout out to the following team members, each of whom topped 100 in the Source-a-Thon:

  • Kay Dawson 118
  • Debi Hoag - 160
  • Peggy Kirby - 133
  • Michelle Ladner - 100
  • Kristin Merritt - 189
Girl power is right, Vincent!  These southern ladies deserve a great big round of applause!  Y'all did terrific!  Thanks so much for being on the team!!  We lead all the teams for the majority of the weekend.  Excellent competition with Team GB and the Forget-Me-Nots (whom we'll never forget!!).   I think we all motivated one another to excel!  I never imagined all of the teams would manage to source so many profiles.  Kudos to everyone that participated, whether you managed to source 10 or 100!  Every profile counts...
