I am going through my watchlist and started some merge work on the Wallingfords which led to the Applegates. From what I can see, there isn't concrete evidence that Jacob's actual parentage has been found. There are sources that say the people linked as his parents existed, but everything else I have seen with actual documentation attached does not agree that his parents have been found, just guesses. I am not super familiar with the line, and want to keep on cleaning up merges, so if anyone is and would like to weigh in, I would love to hear/see what you know. I admit to knowing only the little I have found thus far online, and am not in a position to get the library anytime soon to do more in depth looking. For reference, Jacob is often referred to as Jacob Henry, though this is incorrect. He is listed as the son of Daniel Applegate, and this also, looks to be incorrect.
