Roadblocks in my tree??

Having trouble locating sources of proof for Nathaniel Booth Called "Matt", b. 1812 and d. 1892 in Virginia.  Marriage to Martha Elizabeth Crabtree Booth lists Chas Booth as father of Nathaniel. However there are not birth records nor has anyone else researched linked. Can Anyone help me with this.

I would suggest looking for wills for this couple:

Name: Charles Booth
Spouse: Mary Barber
Marriage Date: 19 Jan 1795
Marriage Location: Pittsylvania County, Virginia
