Ferraro - Williams - Murphy

Question

Hi - I am just starting out in my genealogy and would welcome any suggestions or guidance. My Dad and I have submitted our DNA through Ancestry.com with those results and my research I hope to help him piece together much that isn't know about his family.

Family names:

Frank Williams - Stamford, CT was a known bicycle racer

Elizabeth Murphy (Williams) possibly born in MA - lived in Stamford, CT

Hoping to piece together more of Dad's maternal side (names above). His paternal grandparents immigrated from Italy and little is known past their origins.

Understanding the science behind DNA is where I lack the most understanding.

Wikipedia has Frank Williams born in 1964.

I would recommend getting some basic family tree information posted such as your grandparents on both sides of the family. You can post their full names, birth and marriage years and the location (state, county and or city if you have that). If you don't know all of your great grandparents, post a question of what you want to ask about them.
