If he is an orphan then feel free to adopt him and any connected profiles, especially if he is on your branch.

On the orpan profiles page, under the find menu, you can select to adopt descendants and ancestors of the orphan, if they are orphaned. They will show up yellow to guide you.

Once adopted you can then merge him.

Many thanks... I am not so sure now.... as there are many with same name and near birth dates. I'll still adopt him tho.

You should check out all the relationships and be sure before you merge as you can not unmerge. I could that while they are not the same they could have the same grand parents, or be otherwise linked.
