What to do when getting no response from profile manager?

I want to link my mother Joan Sylvia Jewell to her father Eric George Jewell. To do that I have to be on the trustee list of Eric George Jewell. I have requested this but I'm not getting any response. I also have sent a private message to the manager of this profile. Again no success so far. Is there something else I can do? Maybe another way to link my mother with her father?

Hi Albert,

Here are the steps to take when dealing with an unresponsive profile manager when trying to add a modern family member.

If you are trying to add a modern family member and discover that one of your relatives has already added them, make sure you do all the following:

  1. Propose a merge or send a Trusted List request.
  2. Send a Private Message to the manager (an e-mail message is better if you have their address).
  3. Post a comment on the manager's profile.

If you have not heard back on any of these for seven days, feel free to create the duplicate profile or family line.

At the same time, check the user's contributions list. If it has been more than six months since their last contribution, e-mail Paul Bech at paul@wikitree.com. We will try to e-mail them. If they don't reply for seven days, we will orphan all Public and Open profiles they were managing and delete all Private and Unlisted profiles unless there is someone else on the Trusted List, or extenuating circumstances.

(I checked the user's contribution list and it's been nearly a year since their last contribution, so feel free to email Paul.)

Thanks!

I thought it was preferred to use the open profile request at the bottom right of the profile. There are checkboxes for the steps needed to be done and a text box for messages to Paul.
I went off our help page which has different steps for modern family relationships and older ones.
I supose the question that comes next is where is the cutoff point, the page lists private and unlisted as modern and the profile is public, implying a deep ancestor.
Right, I thought about that too.  But I don't know that grandfather would be considered deep ancestor.
That's probably one of the help pages, like many of the other help pages, that needs to be updated and improved.  But that's a topic for another thread.
