Is anyone familiar with Canadian census, birth and death records that could help with George Wilfong, a Revolutionary War Soldier from North Carolina/Virginia that went to Canada?

Have your tried this website?

Family Search

https://www.familysearch.org/

It's free, and it gives many records from Canadian Census.

Initial search for his name:

https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?facetType=ON&query=%2Bgivenname%3AGeorge~%20%2Bsurname%3AWilfong~&count=20&residence_place0=3

Brings up 15 records where residence is Canada, however all were born in Canada. You can also search by residence in the US which brings up over 1000 profiles - and filter from there. Unfortunately I don't see any that were born in North Carolina/Virginia and also counted in a Canadian census (residence Canada). Is it possible he was not born in either of those locations? Also, searching with a birth date or residence date range could help.

If they went to Quebec, most records are in French. Also the Catholic church records are an excellent source for French Canada.

You might try Library and Archives Canada where you should be able to find which record sets are available in which time period. I am thinking maybe your George is a bit early to have much luck with census records.

Have you tried https://www.ancestry.com/search/?name=George_Wildfong&birth=1753_North+Carolina&death=1830_Strasburg-Waterloo-Upper+Canada&father=George_Wildfong&mother=Sophia+Catarina_Veitheim&name_x=ps_1&spouse=Susannah_Ruth?

It seems that he is under the name George Jacob or just Jacob Wildfong whereas his father seems to be referred to as Major George Michael Wildfong.

I checked for him at the Library and Archives Canada and also the United Empire Loyalist websites and he appears to not be on either.  It is also true that he is too early to be on Canadian Census records.

I found him on the Waterloo Regions Generation Site http://generations.region.waterloo.on.ca/search.php?mylastname=wildfong&lnqualify=contains&mybool=AND&nr=50&showspouse=yes&showdeath=yes&offset=0&tree=-x--all--x-&page=1

You could also contact the Waterloo Region OGS site https://personal.uwaterloo.ca/marj/genealogy/ww.html

A search for him turned up a number of hits. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=George+Jacob+Wildfong&t=ffsb&ia=web
