Commodore (Gomodore) Woody

Question

I am looking for any information of Commodore D Woody. He was born 1830. He was a confederate solider. He was wounded in Vicksburg, MS. He died 1863 in Lumpkin County, GA. He married Sarah Ann Elrod (Janurary 16, 1837- Janurary 5, 1926) on April 17, 1851. He appeared in the 1860's federal census. But none before then.
