Greetings all,

Has anyone come across Irish Military records more so to those that were reported AWOL? If so where are they or was that all lost in the Easter Rising?

I'm also interested in this. But I'd like to get some names of Ulster men that were paid to fight the earlier European wars also.

Richard, what period in Europe are you looking for?
Valerie, I just started to expand my Devlin name study into the Military. So Devlin or Develin from any time period. If it's prior to 12 century it would be Dobhailein.
Thanks Wayne. Unfortunately all I have is James Parker born abt 1844 in Ireland, possible Antrim or Dublin. Story is he was born in Ireland and joined the Irish Army went AWOL to England at some point.
