Using WorldCat to list books you can do lookups in!

OK, not really a question, but I'm excited so I felt the need for an exclamation point.

I just had a neat idea. On WorldCat, I created a public list called "I can do lookups". Then I added some genealogical and historical books I own to it. Now, I'm going to link to that list from my profile so that anyone can see what books I can do lookups in. And at some point I'll add some of the genealogy reference books at the library to this list, since I can do lookups there, too.

But wait, there's more! Now, when you look up a book that's on my list, eg. Les Richard et d'Autres, at the bottom there's a section that shows user lists with that book in them. Mine's the only list, since this isn't a common book. So anyone looking up this book on WorldCat can see that I can do lookups in it!

Neat!

Hi Lianne,

Such a good idea, why not put the link in the appropriate project as well.

The books on my list don't necessarily fit in with one project, though some of them do.

You're right, though, that lists like these could be made for projects, too. Thanks for the idea!
