So, we've followed the instructions on the Indigenous Australians Project page which say "Answer our G2G welcome post to join the Indigenous Australians project and get a badge" but have we actually received the badge? Hands up if anyone has? ( I haven't ) You may not be too fussed about receiving the badge, but it does put you on lists of participants in this project, so it's probably a good idea. Also, it gives us confidence in WikiTree when the things that are meant to happen, actually happen. So, where are the badges?
I have added Johannes Pingilina 1852 - 1904. Improvements are needed for Pingilina and his relatives. There is also a marriage in South Australia of Johannes Pingilina and Clara SUBILINA on the 18 Sep 1879, but I can't work out if it is the same Johannes Pingilina as the birth date is 1838 not 1852 or 1853. Clara Pingilina died 20 Mar 1886, SA. I have noted 2 daughters who died young in South Australia, but have not added them to his tree.

Contact for the The Dieri Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC is below

The Dieri language and other languages can be found at the address below.
http://www.mobilelanguageteam.com.au/languages/dieri# which is in South Australia
As the reference to the language is DIERI I would keep it at this. The other spelling variation was from historial records.
Also I am researching some of the Aboriginal Mission started by the German Lutheran Missions. This contains mainly German names. Would you include these Mission Stations in a category?
I have also found this site which contains many Aboriginal names, which may help some people. I fear it contains some of the stolen generations around the 1920s.
I have a few ideas on some of the profiles that can be added in.
In some towns, the locals acknowledge a particular aboriginal leader.
For example im located Gunnedah, New South Wales and all the locals know the Red Cheif. He even has a memorial in town.
This is his Wikipedia entry, he also has a book published on him

What does everyone think?
Hi John,
I have family from Gunnedah as well and have read the story of 'Red Kangaroo' before. I have some more info to put up in time but I made a rough start, Gunnerah-1, if you would like to join in and fill out this profile a bit. I can add you to the trusted list if you like.
If you would like to do some more profiles in the Gunnedah area and want a collaborator, please let me know. The area has a fascinating, yet sometimes quite dark history. I came through there about two months ago.
Simon
Hello and welcome! I've added you to the list of Project participants, which is on the Project Page here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Indigenous_Australians#Participants
Have a look through the project page. It has a link to our Google group and places where you can make suggestions and add people you've been working on.
Cheers,
Anne
