Help to convert ftw file to GEDCOM file

Question

In my old Family Tree Maker 16(2006) the option Export is not enabled.

So can someone please help to convert my .ftw file to GEDCOM, if I will send it ?

I could do it for you if you want. I've got versions for 2005, 2010 and 2017. One of them should work.

I did some hunting and it looks like years ago there were some freeware utilities that used to do this, but I can't find them anymore.

I see that Ancestry purchased this - one thought after reading some of the articles is that Ancestry does provide a 30 day trial for free. I also see that Family Tree Maker appears to have a way to sync with Ancestry. Perhaps you could subscribe to Ancestry, take advantage of the 30 day free trial, sync with Ancestry, export to Gedcom, and if you didn't want to pay for Ancestry, cancel the subscription - or something along these lines.

Ancestry sold FTM to MacKiev a couple of years ago. The older versions no longer synchronise.

I downloaded the free version of RootsMagic, imported .ftw file, exported GEDCOM, then imported that into WikiTree.  Worked like a charm!
