Southern Super Sweepers Team Chat, Spring 2018 [closed]

Spring is here! To celebrate, our team, the "Southern Super Sweepers" is participating in  a three-day "Clean-a-Thon"  April 21 - April 23, 2018. This is WikiTree's second annual "Clean-a-Thon".

Welcome to those who volunteered to help and have been assigned to this team!!! I can't say enough how much I appreciate your help during this endeavor to "Clean up" the South and all their "unclean" profiles on WikiTree"!!  Our Team page can be found here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Southern_Super_Sweepers

This G2G question and answer thread  is our team's place to ask questions, give advice, see updates and cheer each other on. Our current team leaders are myself, Dorothy Barry, Barry-1264; and Loretta (Leger) Cobin, Leger-741.

Fantastic.   I was working so fast at one point, I got a note from a data admin telling me take a break, ha ha.

And our team cleaned  12,517 problems in profiles of the total 152,253 that is a little over 8% of the total.  Amazing!

The team ahead of us cleared 43,948 issues so they were light years ahead of any other team.  The team behind us cleared 11,156 so we were solidly in 2nd place out of 27 teams!

Every cleared issue helped.  Thanks to you all!

Way to go team and thanks Leaders. I  didn't realize there was a time difference so I got a late start and could not do any more like ya'll did.  So very sorry for that.  I'll know next time.

Thanks everyone! Couldn't do it without the encouragement of you all!  And so many exceeded their own goals this year. Way to go Southern Super Sweepers. PS: Finally got caught up on my sleep!!! Poor laptop, it almost burned out, Tuesday upgraded my desktop and internet provider! still downloading stuff that I used to have on the other one and getting used to the large new screen I got!!

I didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but I managed to clear up a nice section of people who died before they were born. Lol. Congrats to everyone on the team. We did well!

Hey Team, our first full day of "cleaning up" WikiTree and guess what... We are number 3 of the top 5 teams:

I would like to know how Team Roses does it also.  I stayed on all day yesterday and only did a few hundred.  Don't get it.  Please share.

Cool beans, we are still in third place with 7,400 pts. a day later...  Just need 80 pts to jump into 2nd place....... Keeping there will be a problem though... 

Again we are doing awesome!! Thanks to those who are staying in the race and especially thru tomorrow as that will be when the top five will be fighting to keep their spots.... WAY TO GO TEAM!!

I'm still working on 603 in Georgia (USA too early).  And, getting some help from a few of our teammates.  Yay!  If I see that someone else has cleaned up USA in the birth place at the beginning of a group, I just skip to the next group (or two or three).  On page 2!!!!

Just in case you haven't noticed, every little bit of work helps -- we've almost reached 100,000 errors cleaned up.

I must admit I was not very attentive to the comments here during the CaT.  But now I will personally say thank you to all the great people I worked with.  Congratulations (AND A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF THANK YOU'S)  to Dorothy and Loretta for your hard work and encouragement.  I must admit you were both a shining light on the statistics list. I know there are a lot of thanks yous to be given out especially to Alex, Emma and Steven, just to name a very few.
