Hello Donnie,

One of my ancestors was also in upstate New York, but it was after the war and in Kinderhook, NY, at another Dutch Reformed Church. He did fight in the war, but it was in the British Army's 54th Regiment of Foot. A few years after the war was over he deserted out of Canada and came to New York state.
OK Thanks Frank Gill for helping

I added these two sons one born 1781 and one born 1804 they probably had many more children between these years right.
Back in those days there were some good sized families, some, I assume, became farm hands to help with all the work.

Having several ancestors who lived in the Mohawk Valley during the Revolution, I have come across Tim Murphy's name every now and then. He ought to get Prominent Person status.  I will take over the profile if no one else steps up, and be very honored to do it.
