Where are Dorthea Olsens 11 sisters?

This is a rare photograph of Jacob Olson Dahle and his wife Dorthea Olsen and their family.

Dorthea is reportedly born on November 1st 1836 in Voss, Norway.

She is the youngest of 11 daughters, her family was spilt/broken up with the death of her father a Norwegian Soldier who died in a war.

Dorothy is given to a Reverend Berg/Berge in Norway and taken at age 3 to America?? These are not hard facts and come from a family letter. It is unclear if she was given to the Berg's at age three and taken directly to America or if she was give to them at an earlier age and departed Norway later.

Reverend Berg I believe to be Johannes E Berg. He was at one time a minister of the Sacred Heart Evangelical Lutheran Church in Renville, MN where Dorthea's husband was a founding member.

Dorthea's last name, with much confusion surrounding Norwegian sur names and the fact that she was "given" to a family I am assuming that her father's first name was Ole.

Any help finding Dorthea's 11 sisters and family would be amazing.

Kind regards,

Devon

The men standing are easily identified as:

Jacob, son's Oluf and Ole, son's in law James R Johnson and Albert Olson.

Middle seated; Dorthea Olsen one of the seated women is her oldest daughter Anna and the young girl is likely Emma Anna's daughter.

Seated women front: I believe the first seated woman to be Jacob and Dorthea's youngest daughter Martha and the other two women are daughters in law. There are 6 women of wich one I can not place or identify.

I wanted to share this family photo of Dorthea Dahle with the community. Location: unknown. Date: unknown.

Thanks for all your help.

With lots of assistance from members of the Digital Archive of Norway I've managed to find Dorthea's family. As it turns out it's 11 siblings and not sisters. DNA has lead to confirmation.

Thanks again.
