Your number seems too long for a GEDmatch number. I could be wrong. It also could it be some other kind of number? If you registered with an email, there should be help to find your actual GEDmatch number.

Your number will start with a letter that signifies where you had your test done. Some of the numbers I've seen are one letter and 6 numbers long. I searched to find variation in these, but was unable to see how big the numbers can be.

Hope you find your data. You can always do the process again, and you would be assigned another number.

This looks like it could be a GEDmatch Genesis Kit ID.

See this G2G thread for adding GEDmatch Genesis details on WikiTree.

That's a Gedmatch Genesis ID number, from https://genesis.gedmatch.com/ . Genesis numbers start with two letters.

I found you on Gedmatch Genesis, so I confirmed that this is a valid number. But I'm puzzled, because your WikiTree profile shows your number as CH9214979...

At the moment, Gedmatch and Gedmatch Genesis don't talk to each other directly (and WikiTree links to Gedmatch don't work for these numbers), but that's expected to change.

The new number you see is a new upload and it is GEDmatch Genesis.  How do I use this on WikiTree to confirm DNA matches?
After I uploaded my [old] 23andMe data to Gedmatch Genesis, I created an "other DNA test" in WikiTree so I could add the Genesis number to my profile here. Other people who are also in Genesis find my Genesis number here on the profile of a shared relative can look me up in Genesis and compare data there. Or if they are on the regular Gedmatch site, they can still compare my data in regular Gedmatch.

Hey Kenneth,

It is coming! So be patient for the numbers to be incorporated as changes happen both here and at GEDmatch as the Genesis Data is merged with the current/old database.

I the meantime you can add your kit ID to the notes section of your test details page. This is what I did while waiting for WikiTree to add the ability to show the Living DNA Genesis kit ID's.

You can also add a section to your profile for DNA and add your ID there for the time being too. I actually have a DNA section on my profile with information I share with DNA matches who contact me - saves tons of time when writing emails to matches as well.

What is the testing company that goes with this kit?
