Using Ancestry DNA circle matches with FamilySearch Tree

As you probably have noticed, when you find a Family Search source, if it's been added to a Family Search Tree, there's a link to the tree.

Lately, I've been working through mystery DNA matches--either the trees of matches, or just those ridiculous "New Ancestor Discoveries" where they let you know that you might match these people because other DNA matches match them.

If I can find the person in Family Search trees, I can now click on "Relationship to me" and frequently Family Search shows a relationship path between us.  Some of these paths are surprising, in part because they reveal potential ancestors that I never heard of before.

Has anyone given this a try?  Any thoughts?

AncestryDNA testers in WikiTree can upload their DNA results to GEDmatch and then add their GEDmatch ID to WikiTree. Then within 24 hours their information in GEDmatch and WikiTree automatically associate with each other so they can see how their shared segment(s) match(es) with cousins at 23andMe, AncestryDNA,MyHeritageDNA and Family Tree DNA's Family Finder are associated with shared ancestry.

I don't understand who so many DNA testers at WikiTree are not using GEDmatch. It is free.

I'm pretty sure those of us who have been wading through DNA results for awhile know about GEDMatch.  GEDMatch trees are pathetic, although the link to Wikitree is useful, if someone happens to have a tree here.  What I'm talking about with the extremely useless Ancestry DNA circles is a way to make them more useful too. I had a feud with one of my GEDMatch matches, so I'm in the process of starting over there with a different email address, so I recommend using an address just for GEDMatch, which they also recommend.
I looked at your profile, and I don't see your GEDMatch number listed.

On my profile at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Roberts-7085 is listed:

Peter Roberts: Family Tree DNA Family Finder, GEDmatch T412069 [compare], FTDNA kit #8867 [test details]

Actually, without going back and counting, I think Peter's standard GEDmatch kit number is on his profile four or five times (including confirmed-with sourcing) and his GEDmatch Genesis kit is on there once. Plus the link he has to his DNA Painter info. Peter's definitely transparent when it comes to his genetic genealogy.  :-)

It wasn't where I'm used to finding it, but I did find it in other locations.

Not sure I'm followimg. How would Ancestry DNA matches affect FamilyTree? I've never seen a relationship path to me feature at FamilyTree,  how does that work?

Do you have a Family Search tree?  If you do, you can go to any member of your tree and, near the top of the screen, click on the link that says "Relationship to Me."  It portrays a rudimentary drawing of how you're related to someone.  I have quite a few mystery matches in Ancestry, so for one DNA match, I looked someone from his tree.  I clicked on Relationship to Me, and it actually showed a relationship path that I didn't know existed.  Of course, there might be a secondary path, and I'd have to make sure the sources were accurate, but I finally have a clue about how this DNA relative and I are related to each other.  I've been using this same system every day on Ancestry DNA circle matches and other DNA matches who have trees in Ancestry and I've found quite a few matches.  Basically, this is something Ancestry could do for us if they cared--but they don't.
Basically, it's like using Wikitree's relationship finder, only more simplistic.
