Aloha Cousins, I am still trying to find info on my gggg grandparents : Caroline Brown and William Brown. They lived in Hardin Kentucky. On the 1850 census it lists Caroline Brown age 43, William D Brown age 13, Felix L. Brown age 11, John C Brown age 10, Nancy Brown age 9, Joseph Brown (my ggg grandfather) age 7, Susan C Brown age 5 and Zachary T Brown age 3. On the 1860 census: Caroline has become CAROTINE Brown age 46 (However, the handwriting looks to me to say CARETINE Brown). Felix, John, Nancy, Joseph Susan and Zach are on the census. Joseph Brown married my ggg grandmother Euphracia Utterback Brown. I've recently run across a genealogy stating Joseph married a Lula Williams before marring Euphracia. It also stated he died in 1874. Joseph and Euphracia Brown had 3 children : William Thomas Brown, Edward Brown and Nova (often written Noah in records). Euphracia and her sons mived to Park County Wyoming. There is a marriage licence for Nova Brown from Montana (a favorite place for my ancestors to get married it would seem) Euphracia and Joseph are both listed on the license. I have also found Euphracia in census records with Nova and by herself in Wyoming as well as their graves. Joseph's sister Susan Brown married Rolly/Rolla/Raleigh Brackett who, it was said was her cousin. They were apparently married at Caroline Brown's on Nolin Creek KY. ( I know that Rolly Brackett is in Euphracia's linage as well). Another possible clue: though I have seen where William Brown is thought to be William (Dixon) Brown when I saw the marriage licence for Joseph Brown and Euphracia Utterback it looked as though it could be William S Brown as Joseph's Father... So, in a nutshell Caroline/Carotine/Caretine Brown was born anytime from 1806 to 1815 in Kentucky. Her Husband William Brown may have been William S. Brown. Census and marriage licenses state they were both born in Kentucky, and they had at least 7 children... Is there anyone who can help us with this mystery? Mahalo nui loa for anything you maybe able to share. Melissa
