I am searching for a woman who was married to my maternal great-grandfather, Benjamin Adkins, in California. He was born May 19, 1893, in Missouri, and he died January 15, 1942, in Riverside, California, of a heat attack. He is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery (Sawtelle Cemetery). She was supposedly married to him at the time of his death, and may have been younger than him. I am told she may have had red/auburn hair and freckles, but I cannot confirm that. I have no other background info on her; no maiden name, age, place of birth, children listed, date/place of death of death, etc.
Benjamins mother was Hester Ann (nee Gatewood) Adkins, and his step-father was Charles Franklin Adkins, who adopted him at a young age.
ANY info on a possible widow named "Mabel" would be treasured and greatly appreciated.
