Father of Elisha McComas

Question

As some of you may know, the data I am entering in WIkitree was researched by my mother, it is my tribute to her.  I do not have all of her paperwork, my sister does.  In the Family Tree program my mother had David McComas as the father of Elisha McComas.  I am trying to find more info on my French families, their spouses etc...

When researching Elisha McComas on ancestry,  I came across the birth and death records of Elisha which say his father is John.  Does anyone have any more info on this person?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I have Elisha(Carl) Mc Comas on my ancestry. John Wesley Mc Comas is the father of Elisha Mc Comas. John Wesley married Melinda Elizabeth Jones.  Elisha was born 10 0ct 1828 In Cabell Co WV died 12 Oct 1956 in Hicksville, Defiance Co., Ohio. Married Susie Pitman. I haven't checked her  Info yet. His siblings are 1. Charles Clarence Mc Comas b. 29 Sep 1882 Cabell Co. WV .Married Nancy Loretta Knight on 14 May 1889 in Cabell Co. WV, She was born 5 Jun 1881 Millersport, Laurence Co, Ohio. died 25 Mar 1950 Hicksville, Defiance Co. Ohio. 2.Mary Etta Mc Comas born 29 Jul 1886 Cabell Co. WV died Brice, Franklin Co., Ohio 3. Elza Marshall Mc Comas born abt 1890 Va.died Oct. 1973 Albany,Ohio. Married Agnes Woodrum. This brings you to my Maternal Grandmother and her siblings. I found a book online titled:" A History of Middle New River Settlement and Contiguous Territory" By David Emmons Joshton . Starting on pg 432 it talks about the family McComas.

It is a google book (free)

On findagrave his parents are listed as David and Catharine (Burke) McComas.

As for the French ancestry, on Ann's page, which lists her parents. if you click on the links to her parents - it brings you to their findagrave memorial - which further lists their parents etc. Might lead you somewhere in her lineage, which you then can attempt to confirm.
