Hardy family might be beyond my capabilities?

I started to do a merge somewhere in the Hardy family, and was about to ask a question about the Old English naming convention, (whether to use De or de).  When I thought I would look around for examples of what others have done ... and WOW!  In essence, I am afraid this family might be a little beyond me.  Would anyone like to take on a challenge?

There are De Hardy, de Hardy, deHardy, Hardy, and I found one Harty.  I can help, but this is for the very experienced (and that's not me).  Thanks in advance.

De Hardy-8, Hardy-460

By the way, does anyone know what is the naming convention (for de____ )?  Or is it family/individual specific?
