searching for information on the family of William Higgins of Rawdon , NS who was my Great great great grandfather. He was a stonecutter is believed that he married a Mary Casey and they had several children including John , William Walter, Mary and Annie (my great great Grandmother). In one of Duncanson's books he mentions this family and says that he could not find proof that they were related to the family of James Higgins, also from hants co (at least 2 of the sons of James settled in Kings Co and were connected with Acadia Universiity. I have an obituary of one of Williams grandsons which connects Prof. D.F Higgins to Annie as a cousin. However I have hit a dead end here since "cousin" can be used rather loosely. There was a James Higgins in Kennetcook who was the father of James Higgins of Rawdon and John Higgins of Grand Manaan. I'm trying to figure out if William was his son or brother
