Anyone have info on, James Joseph Jordan(b.1862 County mayo,Ireland)

Question

(d.abt.1935 in  Dunmore , Lackawanna  County Pa) He came from Ireland in about 1882.His wife's name was Mary Hanley.I'm looking for info about his life before he came to America. My father told me ,he lived in Co Sligo.I only have his parent's initials,mother's C.K. , father's E. Jordan. Any info would be greatly appreciated! M.Jordan

f this is the same person, the 1910 US Fedral Census has him living in Dunmore Ward 6, Lackawanna, PA with his wife Mary. He arrived from Ireland in 1882.

Children are listed as:

John  Age 22

Michael  Age 20

James  Age 19

Marie  Age 17

Francis  Age 15

Thomas  Age 13

Lauretta  Age 11

William  Age 9

Helen  Age 7

I am unable to find any records from Ireland on the Ancestry search engine. You probably need to find a good search engine for Irish records in order to go back further in time.

Yes! My grandfather’s name was John Joseph Jordan, I believe your grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. My Dads name was Robert Frances Jordan, I believe your father and my father were cousins. About six years ago, my father contacted your father they talked about a half an hour on the phone.
