Be advised I am the administrator of Sudduth and related families project at FTDNA (Family Tree DNA).  FYI, my grandfather was adopted from the Sudduth paternal lines. We are attempting to merge the various paternal lines and figure out where the major DNA split occurred between various branches of Southworth, Southard, Sudduth, Suddarth etc etc.  We are currently divided between 2 major haplogroups.  L21, where many of the Southworth/Southards and a few Sudduth/Suddeths belong and M222 NW Irish/Lowland Scot, where my group of Sudduths belong. We are also working on a broader project with the M222 NW Irish/Lowland Scot project on finding out where our paternal haplogroup belongs within the various septs and clans of Ireland/Scotland.  The L21 group is working on the same thing.  If you're interested, contact me at stevelominac@hotmail.com or simply go to he FTDNA home page, click projects and look up Sudduth and related families.

Regards,
