Help with Norwegian LNAB please

Question

 

Americanized name is Ellen Sanders. She was born 1823 in Tinn, Telemarken, Norway to a family that was well off but not wealthy. She was born on the farm Bakkajord.  

 

First name is reported to be Aagaat in her bios but is Aagoth on the shipslist. There her name appears:

Aagoth Østensdatter Bakka 

 

I understand the name of the farm was often added to the last name 

 

There is a reference that was already on this profile when I started working on it that indicated her last name was Ysteinsdatter. 

 

To add to the confusion, articles written by a direct descendant refers to the family by the last name Sondreson.

The Norwegian Genealogy group on facebook is very helpful for queries like this. Often they will find her for you! Also the rootsweb mailing list for Norwegian genealogy

I recommend you try the Norwegian archives and search for her there. I have had good luck searching by firstname, locality and birth year.
