Looking for Lockridges in Kentucky in the mid 1880's.

My husband's grandfather was a forger.  I have found 4 first names:Charles, Edward, James and Robert; and 4 last names: Howard, Barrett, Harris and Williams, for him.  However our Y-DNA test matches us with 6 Lockridges.  From his prison records he was born in Kentucky around 1885.  He had siblings.  His Father possibly could have been born in Indiana.  In  1908 he was in Oregon.  I have prison records for the next 20 years in Washington, Oregon and California, and then nothing.  Prison records also say he was of Irish American descent.

My question for you is do you have a relative that could match this man?  If so, you have some pretty neat relatives waiting to find a family to belong to.

If Father lived in Ind., he was most likely from Line of William Lockridge who died in 1798 in Augusta Co., Va. His brother James is my ancestor, but some of his went to Woolford, Co, Ky. A James that was mistaken for my James went there in by A much older cousin and for the longest I didnt know I had skipped a generation. There is a huge book on These 2 lines of Lockridge brothers by Bob Walters and his wife. It came out about 2001 or so. According to what I have found out lately a Library is your best chance.

Try researching Lockridges around Montgomery County, Kentucky. That seems to be where they all have been living mostly. Try the Montgomery County Genealogical Society there.
