Does anyone have a William Francis Davies married to a Elizabeth A Possibly Morgan in their tree

I have got a Marriage cert of my Granfathers wedding hoping that if I got his dad's name it will help me more. It is proving difficult.  I know when Samuel Charles married in 1942 his father was deceased so his mother Elizabeth had signed.  William was a miner and I believe died young.  I have found a William who died in a mining accident but no other info as to who his wife was.

Just a small point, there is no your tree, my tree or their tree, wikitree is ome tree our tree.

It is difficult to search with limited information, like which counrty are we talking about. Using People: Search from the Find Menu gives about 150 possible results. even guessing a birthdate of about 1890 plus or minus 12 years. None are William Francis or even William F. but there are plenty of William's.

Assuming you got Samuels birth year from the marriage certificate then you know his father was alive a year before so you know the time period to search for his death, you know he married Elizabeth at least a year before the birth of Samuel, he was probably 20 to 25 when he married so you have a date to look for his birth and of course you can fill some gaps or get better dates from census returns.

This is an old request and Val hasn't been online since April. That said, I looked at her profile and it looks like the Davies she's researching were from Mt Ash, Wales.

They had lived in Mountain Ash, my mother told me that no one ever spoke about the family background at all.  We do know that Samuel had a sister that was stabbed while working as a nurse in Cardiff but that is all and the year we don't know
