searching for my paternal grandfathers family any information?

My paternal grandfather had another son after him and my grandmother separated. Im not 100% sure of his name. My paternal grandfather also had a sister that goes/went by the name nelly, that resided in azusa California. Is there any way I can find out anymore information about my grandfathers family?

I was only 8 months old when my father passed. So all I know his my paternal grandfather had a sister by the name nelly, that lived on First street in azusa California that was in january 2002. However I had heard that my grandfather lived in Texas with his new family.

If I may, let me ask you a few questions which may help.

First, you know your father died when you were 8 months old.

Second ; What year were you born & did you know his first name or your mother's name & maiden name?

Third: Where were you born?

This info will help us search for a birth record & possibly some additional info.

From there, maybe we can find a marriage record for your parents (assuming they were married?).

If we can find a marriage record. It may list parents. From there, we may be able to find census records.

Just do the best you can answering these questions.

Thank you. I was born 11-29-1983 in duarte, California. I have an older brother name peter joe granados born 11-09-1978 in glendora, California. My father was peter granados born 05-08-1959. My mother is Pamela Rivera, but was married to my father at the time so she was granados. But her maiden name is praxmier (not sure of the spelling).

So far,this is what I have found. It is your father's birth record & it shows the maiden name of your mother. I got this record from Ancestry.com. Unfortunately, in order to see the actual document you need to order it through Vital Check Network, Inc. You can do this or you can get it from the Dept of Vital Statistics in Los Angeles.  Also, his social security number is listed which is key to finding his parents records.  You can contact the social security administration for info. I believe the original document will give the name of both parents. The record I have posted here is just a short synopsis of the actual record. This particular Peter Grandados had a sister Nellie.  Not sure if it is any connection to your grandparents. Also found a reference to your parents marriage.   His birth and death information indicate his mother's last name was Rivera?
