Searching for John Wilson Youngblood who born 1823.

Question

John Wilson Youngblood who was born in 1796 had 11 children.  One of those children was John Wilson Youngblood jr born in 1823 and died in 1900.  These are my ancestors.  I am trying to link jr to his father for the application to the sons of the American revolution.

While looking through records I found some conflicting info. However, I did find a reference to a book which may lead to some answers:

John Wilson YB is well documented as a Southern Indiana Youngblood...  They came from Edgefield and Abbeville SC after first migrating from Orange County, NC.  J W YB was one of many sons of Samuel YB ~1754 son of Peter YB ~1732.
