Humility Cooper - Mayflower Passenger

The profile for Mayflower passenger Humility Cooper has no connections in WikiTree. She was the daughter of Robert Cooper and Joan Gresham, and a relative of Edward Tilley and Agnes (Ann) Cooper Tilley who went to America on the Mayflower. Is there  someone interested in connecting Humility to her family?

Thanks!

Oh, this one is a very sad tale. Humility's parents both died in 1620, likely over in Leiden, Holland. Her aunt, the wife of Edward Tilley took her in and she sufferred the Mayflower voyage to Plymouth where Edward and Agnes died the first winter.

Edwards brother, John Tilley, my 11th GGF would normally have taken the 2 year old in but for their own deaths that same winter. Humility was sent back to England - according to the Mayflowerhistory.com, in 1621 but some property records show her still in the colonies in 1627. None the less, she did go back to England by several accounts, was baptised at age 19, never married and had no children.

This is the tragic story of a baby who lost 3 sets of parents in her first 2 years, was shipped back and forth across the oceans in leaky ships and mostly disappeared in history. I keep her very sparsely cited record in my genealogy just out of sympathy for her life. She would have been, or was, my 1st cousin, 12 times removed.

I don't normally keep folks that aren't direct but I just couldn't let her be abandoned yet again. Sure hope there is somebody that can squeeze her in somewhere.

Christopher,  my research on Humility Cooper shows that while she did indeed return to England, she actually had a child out of wedlock (Richard Cooper born 1638 in plymouth, MA).  Given the grave situation there is no documentation confirming that she gave birth to Richard, but the father was Richard Wright whose family was living with the Tilley's who were Humility's maternal aunt and uncle.  This would make Richard a descendant of the Mayflower.
