Does anyone know this man?

First name was Leo, last name could be Sherman but not sure. He was born between 1918 and 1924. He was in the U.S. military in 1943 and was either stationed in New York or St. Augustine Florida. I have two pictures, on back of one says Brooklyn, NY taken in Feb,1943 and the other says St. Augustine Florida taken Nov 1943. In both pictures, he is wearing a military uniform.

Both pictures are signed from cousin Leo with really nice handwriting. This picture was send to my great uncle Ralph. trying to figure out who he was and if he was also a cousin of mine.

Without more info this is a really difficult question to answer. If you assume he was born in Brooklyn I see a Leo Sherman born in 1918 with parents Max & Lena Sherman. I also see a Leo Sherman born 1924 with parent Jennie Sherman.

The only record I see for St Augustine & vicinity is:
