Find A Grave Memorial# 101676428

Dear Mr Lockwood, even though the memorial is there in Owsley County, the information is wrong.  John Baker the John Baker referred to here is not a Revolutionary War Patriot. That John Baker has been proved by the Baker DNA group project not to be Tenerenta Baker.  It sad but true.  There are actually 2 Revolutionary War Markers for 2 John Bakers there neither one are the correct John Baker, the tragedy of this is that when the descendants of both John Baker's go to obtain their Ancestors Military Markers they will no longer be available.

Dear Anonymous,

I sponsored the YDNA test of a direct descendant of John Tenerentta Baker who still owns the property on Upper Buffalo in Owsley county KY.  Boonie Baker.  His 111 marker test is in the test results for the Baker YDNA group on FTDNA @ bakerdna.net

His DNA is a dead match for the descendants of Andrew Baker Esq.  My answer to your question is that based on the YDNA test his father was likely Andrew Baker Esq born probably around 1690 and died before 1777.   Hope this helps you.
