“My grandfather Ely Fuller was a gunsmith in the revolutionary army – was twice married. His oldest son Ely was a surveyor and was employed to survey by the Canadian Government. He accompanied a company of French men and is one of the first white men that ever saw Great Salt Lake, now in Utah . My grandfather married for his second wife – my grandmother, a widow by the name of McLaughlin, who was the daughter of Judge Loring of Boston . Her brother was one of the Boston Tea Party. My father, the youngest son, Agustus Fuller, married Lucretia Hall.…”
