Is a profile manager notified of an unmatched merge?

I have created several unmatched merges and was wondering if the profile managers of these profiles have been notified of the unmatched merge? In relation to the question - Is there a better way of dealing with possible duplicates when the other profile is private. Other ways that see to be acceptable are going for a merge perhaps, leaving a PM or add a note on the merging profile? I would like to use the easiest method for both parties, but I am not clear if there is a prefered method. thank you

Many questions:  The instruction in the 'Help' section will mostly answer all your questions.  Profile managers are informed of Unmerged Matches.  Profile privacy issue on duplicates...you'll need to ask to be assigned on the 'Trusted List' of the other manager (see Help under that heading.)  Or, send a private manager message on their profile page.  Wikitree set standard and some of them are not easy due to the privacy issue. It's work but worth it.  rena

Yes, it is the privacy that makes it difficult. Thanks for your answer. I wanted to check there wasn't  a better procedure for clearing up many unmatched merges such as adding a merge or leaving a message on the merging profile. I guess adding a merge will not give you any chance to compare the 2 profiles until you are on the trusted list.
