Hello all.
I have another question about my McGinty/May line which seems to be very happy throwing me hints just to give me another mystery but I think that at least one mystery is slowly unraveling.
Before I ask my question, I will explain what I have solved/formulated so far:
Bryan/Bernard May and Bridget McGinty were born in Sligo, Ireland in the 1830s. They married in 1855 (most likely without a child already born to Bridget as originally thought here: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/91847/bridget-mcginty-too-young-to-have-oldest-child ). Their first child was born in Sligo in 1856 and in 1860, three May children were born in Ireland before they moved to Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England and had four more children (as seen here https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KZGJ-DXH ). Eventually, the whole family appears to have moved to Youngstown, Ohio in the late 1870s/early 1880s.
This brings me to my question: could the following transcript be a clue to my Bridget McGinty May ( https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F6F4-BJR )? This would corroborate the census stating that a Bernard May, born in Ireland, father of Patrick, Saddie and Agnes May, was widowed by 1900 ( https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-11868-7698-35?cc=1325221 ).
I have tried a couple of quick searches for the Death certificate of Bridget McGinty but can only find the linked transcript. Any help on this would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Mike
