Richard Harrington applied for a SAR membership on June 3, 1908. He lists his family thusly:

grandson of: Andrew B. Harrison and Adell Perkins

great grandson of: Daniel Harrington and Serepta Hill.

great great grandson of Ezekiel Harrington and Lydia Cotton

great great great grandson of Thomas Harrington and Lucy Perry

great great great great grandson of Henry Harrington and Sarah Cotton.

His claim states:

Thomas Harrington with his brothers, Jeremiah, Jonathan, and Henry were all members of Capt. Parker's Minute Men. Thomas participated in the battle of Lexington, April 19th 1775.

He continued in active service until August 1775.

He left Massachusetts in 1777 or 78 and came to Chanango Co., N.Y.

His son Ezekiel was born in 1779, at Bethany, Genesee Co., N.Y. May 19, 1846.

Richard's application was approved October 27, 1908.

I am descended from Thomas's brother, Jeremiah. Charles Hudson's History of the Town of Lexington, Vol. I can give you information about the family. Also, History of the Battle at Lexington. Both are available for free on Google Books. The requirements for the DAR and the SAR are stricter today than they were in 1908. However, if you are able to connect to an already named descendant of a patriot,  it is easier.
