Rosannah or Rosehannah or Susannah Roach, or possibly Beach, m. John McConnell in County Armagh, near Belfast, Northern ireland c. 1836 and emigrated with him and small daughter Mary to NYC, then at once to Columbus Wisconsin c. 1843 after giving birth on arrival in NYC to James McConnell, my great grandfather.

John was born c. 1818 and assum she was about the same age.

Looking to find out more about the Roach families in County Armagh in 1830s.

I know there is a Roseanna Roach buried in the graveyard used by the nuns in Dubuque, Iowa.  I have a photo.  Most likely not yours, but who knows?

My great great aunt was a nun there too.  Her name was Della Roach, switched to Sister Mary St Pius upon entering the convent.

The grave markers list the date they entered the convent, not their birth date---and the date of death.
