When was 'Bigmore' introduced as middle name of Richard Barrett, 1824 - 1904?

Several online family trees have his name as Richard 'Bigmore' Barrett. He was born, baptised and married as Richard Barrett. I am unsure when/why/if the middle name of Bigmore was introduced.  Trying to contact tree owners - several not responding, others unsure about his middle name.

His sister Jane Barrett's first marriage was to Stephen Bigmore, their son was Stephen John Bigmore. So Richard's middle name possibly related to either his brother-in-law or nephew, though seems unlikely.

Can anyone with access to Australian records find any with a middle name of Bigmore or shed any further light?
