Riffel is my father's surname. His ancestors are Romanian, German, & Russian. My father's family grew up in Prelate, Saskatchewan, Canada. Most of the family are in Western Canada but we do have relatives in Toronto, Ontario Canada. [edit]

Riffel family came to Berks County, PA from Germany and moved on to Northumberland Co., PA and then Perry County, Ohio. Searching for birthplace of Matthias Riffell born 1722 in Germany. There were at least four brothers who settled in Chillisquaque, Northumberland, PA: George , John, Joseph and George Jr. Years ago I visited the Northumberland County courthouse in Milton and was able to construct some family data from land records etc. Over the years in moving, I have lost my original files so [edit]
