Dorothy was born about 1664. She was the daughter of George Abbott and Mary Weed. She passed away about 1720.
Dorothy and Dorcas are likely the same person. From George Abbott: "Dorothy Abbott and Dorcas Abbott. These may be the same person, but they are married to men with different first names (Darius Root and John Rootes) so it is not likely they can be merged. It appears that Dorcas is the correct daughter based on George's Probate record." See further notes in comments below.

Hoping to advance the research about whether this Dorothy (Abbott-4555) is alias Dorcas (Abbott-166), otherwise one daughter of the now inked father, George Abbott George Abbott (bef.1635-1689). (In 2021, WikiTree's Puritan Great Migration Project placed a maintenance category about this on the profile of her now linked father.)
Have pulled various references to Dorothy/Dorcas. Will use this as a workspace to comment further on those references.--Gene
